The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren has really transformed me. I highly recommend reading it.
What comes across your mind when you think of death? Do you think it’s just an unfortunate event the living people on Earth have to mourn to? Are you conditioned to the fact that people born, live and die? I mean, really think about it - what do you feel?
From my point of view, death on Earth doesn’t mark the end of me. It marks the beginning of my eternity. Sometimes we humans find it hard to believe and unfair that death will eventually come, and that’s okay! The reason we feel we should live forever is that God gave us that desire. God plants eternity in the human heart. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
Our life here on Earth is just a temporary assignment. It is a preparation for a future in Heaven – or Hell (I know that seems harsh, but it’s true). Our relationship with God determines where we are destined to be. Ever wonder the made up acronyms for the B.I.B.L.E: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth? Though it may seem a little comical, but it’s exactly true. The Bible is a book giving instructions and answers on how we should live our life.
There is so much more to life. Without purpose, life will seem dull and colorless on the long run. Yeah, you’ll have those exciting moments of socializing, getting promoted at work or having fortunate events to come your way, but those are all temporary. Overtime you will hunger for more and more and will not be completely satisfied with what you have – that is the dark side of human nature. Fortunately, God has given us a loophole to escape the dark side, and it’s by living with purpose. Once we are fully aware that life is just a preparation for eternity, we begin to live differently. And by living differently, we begin to handle circumstances, relationships and tasks better. Our primary problems will start to seem minor and unworthy of our attention. Everything that was once important to you may be rearranged in a different order of priority. (Philippians 3:7-8). I am not making this up because I have personal experience of this being true.
Here are quotable quotes by Rick Warren from The Purpose Driven Life, all in chapter 4.
“If you have a relationship with God through Jesus, you don’t need to fear death.”
“The closer you live to God, the smaller everything else appears.”
“God offers you an opportunity beyond your life time.”
“…it would be wiser to live each day as if it were the last day of your life.”
1 John 2:17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

kiki, to believe in a supernatural power to which human beings are answerable constitutes serious mental illness in the mind of the poor deluded beleiver, never forget that, (you gorgeous little sexpot). Now, why should i be afraid of spending millions of years totally alone in the darkness?, i`ve already spent millions of years totally alone in the darkness (before i was conceived) and it didn`t inconvenience me one bit. I hope this dosen`t qualify as a biased comment kiki its just that jervaise brooke hamster got in touch with me and said that Kiki Kho needs to be spoken to in no uncertain terms so i`m just doing a favour for an old mate of mine. By the way Kiki its also vitally important that you realise that this comment was not meant to depress or upset you in any way it is meant to educate and enlighten you and give you the strength to deal with the utterly material basis of reality on a daily basis without having to resort to absurd beliefs in ludicrous supernatural entities to get you through each day.
I understand where you're coming from...and I know you're not Richard Dawkins. I can't really debate on this subject because no can can disapprove NOR approve the existence of God. That's all I gotta say.
Kiki, that great and legendary pious-atheist and anti-theist Christopher Hitchens says that he most certainly can disprove the existence of God so once again i advise and emplore you to listen to all his anti-religious diatribes on YouTube. by the way kiki how did you know that the Richard Dawkins comment was left by jervaise brooke hamster pretending to be Richard Dawkins? that was quite clever of you to work that out.
Kiki, darlin`, i`m waiting for you on YouTube, i want you to absorb my wisdom, dont be shy you amazing little dream come true. listen to me my dear Kiki and you will truly see the light.
Kiki darlin` you replied to Mr. Dawkins so why haven`t you replied to Mr. Hitchens?.
Kiki, i think "Richard Dawkins", "you`ll find a welcome in the hillside, you`ll find a welcome in the dale", "Christopher Hitchens" and "oliver syngen mollusc" are all one and the same person, i just wondered if you agreed?
It requires more faith to be an Atheist rather than a Theist (belief in a god).
Atheists believe something was created out of nothing.
Theists believe something was created out of something.
It's more confident to believe the theists point of view.
Also, if we evolved from monkeys, would there be no more monkeys?
Kiki, i dont mean to rain on your parade but Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Jonathan Miller, Daniel Dennett and Sam Harris would all fall about laughing at the ludicrous naivety of your last comment.
Kiki, if you caused an Atheist to beleive in God that person must`ve been a bloody idiot, how about setting your sights a little bit higher by trying to convince a truly great mind (and Pious-Atheist and Anti-Theist) like Richard Dawkins that God exists, now thats what i call a proper challenge
Kiki, by "RAISED RIGHT" do you mean people who were brought up to believe in God as opposed to people who were not? because if that is what you mean thats a very narrow or even completely close minded way to look at life and existence in general!!!.
Kiki, i know what you mean about the snow its magical like Chistmas every day.
"The Wolfman" is a much better film than "Valentines Day". Hey Kiki, theres a riotous and hilarious confrontation currently going on over at MemeMollys site between the rampantly heterosexual jervaise brooke hamster and some dirty pansy queer bastard who is intermittantly trying to besmirch his good name, its a scream (although the pansy queer bastard should be burned at the stake in my opinion, long live The Hamster and rampaging heterosexuality). How about leaving a comment over there saying what you think about the confrontation and hopefully giving some words of encouragement to The Hamster and then trashing his hideous faggot oponent, thanks kiki i appreciate your help.
Kiki why do you rarely reply to my comments anymore when you must realise i`m madly in love with you?.
Kiki, I can understand you not responding to texts but why aren`t responding to me? you sexy little minx.
